ABOUT

POOLDE | Poolde
The director and designer is PELI, who is also active as a DJ.
Until now, I have been passionate about expressing myself to the outside world, but now that I'm in my 40s, that passion has started to be directed towards myself.
A unique and edgy idea transformed into a strange and uninspiring one.
POOLDE will retain PELI's underlying elements of "mischief," "occult," and "contradictory romance," while developing items that she truly wants to wear right now.
PELI | Creative Director and Designer
PEGION CEO/DJ
Born to music-loving parents, he became obsessed with the occult and Sailor Moon as a child, and during his student days he became immersed in the links between fashion and culture, tracing back through music history to early punk, reggae, and rockabilly.
Graduated from Bunka Fashion College's Design Department in 2006 and worked as a stylist.
In 2013, he launched the apparel brand "PAMEO POSE," and to mark his 10th anniversary, he held the brand's first runway show, "MY WAY," in the parking lot of the National Stadium.
The venue was filled with excitement with approximately 1,000 visitors, and he retired as director/designer at the end of the SS24 season.
In 2018, the company launched PEGION, a select shop for pet goods, and will open a flagship store in Nakameguro in 2024.
As a DJ, he has livened up the scene in a wide range of genres, from playing at high-end parties for brands like HERMES, CHANEL, Louis Vuitton, and PRADA to being a regular DJ at the queer party fancyHIM.

CONCEPT
- A fictional story that actually happened -
It took me two hours to cycle from my home in Tokyo to New York.
When I put my feet into the boots, they were as soft as slime.
The ribbon barrette also began to show emotions according to her mood.
Dreams always beckon me to a parallel world that feels strange.
We spend the night trip as if it were normal, and when we return to reality the next morning, the more we ruminate on it, the more we feel indigested.
It wasn't a grand dream about encountering UFOs or monsters or the blue sky being on fire.
Items that you normally wear take on strange shapes and blend into the reality of your dream.
The fear of the unknown sometimes stimulates human curiosity.
These vivid yet vague memories are sublimated into the design, and the eye-catching, bizarre, humorous details alternately evoke conviction and illusion.
Ghosts, aliens, the Voynich Manuscript, precognitive dreams - the excessive credibility of entertainment has excited the world, but we will never be able to find any definitive proof.
PELI has always been fascinated by "fictional stories that actually happened," and they create designs that embody that romance, proposing "ready-to-wear with a hint of incongruity" that brings out the unique charm of each individual.
Basic items are strangely transformed to make them blend naturally into reality.
At first glance, it appears to be a simple piece of clothing, but the eccentric qualities that exude from it begin as a vague mystery lingering in the corner of your memory, and then turn into a strong interest.
What has peeled away over time since the infancy of the occult boom and what remains unchanged.
The rebellious spirit of punk culture and the graceful and supple elegance of classical ballet.
Fiction and reality. Feminine and mannish.
Within PELI, there is always a coexistence of beauty that doesn't make sense.
